Jubin Nautiyal is an Indian playback singer, music composer, songwriter and music director. He is famous for his work in the films Bajrangi Bhaijaan.

Jubin Nautiyal was born on Wednesday 14 June 1989 (age 35 Years; as of 2024) in Dehradun, the capital city of Uttarakhand, India. His Zodiac sign is Gemini.

He attended St. Joseph’s Academy in Dehradun until the eighth grade, when he finished his education at Welham Boys’ School, where he took formal music classes. He relocated to Mumbai’s Mithibai College to pursue his education. His music instruction came from his teacher, Mrs. Vandana Srivastava.

He continued to study Hindustani music with his teacher, Mr. Samant. The Indian classical vocalist Chhannulal Mishra taught him light classical music when he traveled to Benaras. In order to learn western music, he also enrolled in Chennai’s Music Academy, where seasoned guitarist Prasanna provided him with instruction.

Controversy

It was once alleged that Jubin Nautiyal had sexually harassed a woman and his partner, Shashank Malik. He had a birthday party in a Dehradun hotel, which is where the incident occurred. Jubin claims that only friends and relatives were invited. The pair later attacked him and filed a complaint alleging that they were not invited to the party together. The woman did, however, later issue an apology for her unfounded charges against the musician.

Jubin’s father loved to sing, therefore from the tender age of four, he showed an early inclination towards music.

He met A. R. Rahman at Mumbai’s Mithila College, who praised the quality of his voice and advised him to continue honing it for a few more years before breaking into the music business.

He is proficient in eight instruments: the harmonium, flute, piano, drums, and guitar.

In 2011, Jubin took part in the musical reality show X-Factor and placed among the top 25 contestants.

Top successes from his repertoire include “Meherbaani” from the Shaukeens (2014), “Bandeyaa” from Jazbaa (205), “The Humma” from Ok Jaanu (2017), and numerous others.

Jubin is a mixed martial arts black belt.
