Career
Prior to beginning her cinematic career, Pooja Sawant won a beauty pageant “Maharashtra Times Sharwan Queen” in 2008. Pooja started her career in the Marathi industry with the multistarrer film ‘Kshanbhar Vishranthi’, which achieved cult status among film lovers. In 2011, Pooja appeared in ‘Jhakaas’ opposite Ankush Chaudhary, the film was a blockbuster. Pooja again appeared in another multistarrer film, ‘Satrangi Re’.
She costarred with Aniket Vishwasrao in the satirical hit movie “Poshter Boys” in 2014. She will be seen in Vishal Furia’s horror thriller Bali, which is slated to be released on April 16, 2020. Furia is the director of her 2017 film Lapachhapi. The film was shot in March 2020. She will appear in the films Love You Mitra starring Gashmeer Mahajani and Daagdi Chawl 2 starring Ankush Chaudhary.
